Skin Actives Post Workout Cream will help you feel better

Help sooth sore muscles and joints after a workout with this cream, it will absorb quickly and help you recover faster from the strenuous (or not so strenuous) workout (don’t forget your ankles!).

The actives: Squalane, Aminobutyric Acid, N-Acetyl Glucosamine, Cetyl Myristoleate, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Tocotrienols, Tocopherols, Astaxanthin, Lycopene, Xanthophyll, R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, Beta Carotene.

Squalane. Loss of skin lipids result in an increased water loss and increased penetration of harmful compounds.  Use of squalane should alleviate skin dryness and sensitivity. Used it to repair damaged skin or to maintain healthy skin.

Gamma Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) is a non-essential amino acid necessary for brain metabolism. GABA helps  prevent anxiety and works in the body much like a natural tranquilizer. According to recent research “the gamma-aminobutyric acid (A)-like receptor associated with skin barrier homeostasis and regulation of the receptor (could be) clinically effective for barrier dysfunctional or epidermal hyperproliferative diseases.”

N-Acetyl Glucosamine is an aminosugar and one of the components of hyaluronic acid,  a component of the extracellular matrix (“ground substance”) of the dermis in which we also find the proteins elastin and collagen. These compounds bind water and are involved in the maintenance of the water and salt balance of the skin. Like chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine is a natural chemical found in healthy cartilage, particularly in the fluid around the joints. Glucosamine has anti-inflammatory properties and may help cartilage regeneration.

Chondroitin sulfate is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan (GAG) composed of a chain of alternating sugars (N-acetylgalactosamine and glucuronic acid). Chondroitin is an important constituent of cartilage and its topical application may help with pain caused by arthritis.  Glucosamine and chondroitin have anti-inflammatory properties. Both glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate reduce inflammation in vitro via inhibition of nuclear factor κ B (NFκB), a transcription factor that lies upstream of various inflammatory processes.

Cetyl Myristoleate is a cetyl (palmityl) ester of myristoleic acid, an omega-5 fatty acid present in some plant oils (like saw palmetto). This chemical may have anti-inflammatory activity in arthritis.

Pomegranate seed oil contains more than 70% cis-9, trans-11,cis-13-18:3 fatty acid.  Pomegranate seed oil is a chemopreventive for skin cancer.  The anti-metastatic effect may be through its anti-angiogenic potential.

The antioxidant squad: tocotrienols, tocopherols, astaxanthin, lycopene, xanthophyll, R-alpha lipoic acid, beta carotene.
Redox stress leads to inflammation and muscle injury. This group of low molecular antioxidants will help protect your muscles from inflammation.

You can complement their action with Skin Actives ultra-calming cream.
