What matters? The product itself, or the “massage” we get when we apply it?

Applying a skin care product that is good for you or pleasant is good for you just. I doubt that anybody has measured the health effects of a massage, a bath, a kiss of a grandchild or applying a cream to your face, but all of these give you a feeling of well being that should make us feel better and function better.

But for skin care, the ingredients and formulation will make the big difference, especially as we age and our body neglects our skin because it is less important than your heart. But, as you heart keeps beating, tight, thin skin will make life difficult in many ways. Older people will end up with never healing wounds, and younger people will feel uncomfortable in their thin, tight skin. So the answer is that the product makes a big difference. You can make your skin look and work younger if you provide it with the nutrients, antioxidant enzymes and growth factors that have decreased to a trickle.

Get yourself the best skin care products you can, and this does not mean the more expensive (with expensive jars, advertising, etc.) but those with the best ingredient lists.  Using bad products can hurt your health but, more often, they constitute a missed opportunity to give your skin what it really needs.
