How long it will take to see the effects of skin care products on my skin?

For damage (yes, skin “care” can damage your skin) minutes or hours. A bad experiment in exfoliation, an allergic reaction to a fragrance, will show up within minutes and take days or weeks to repair. An ingredient that starts an autoimmune disease will affect your skin forever.

How about good ingredients? I used to say a couple of months, because good skin care has to modify the biochemistry and physiology of your skin before it can improve its appearance., but using our good ol’ collagen serum can actually lift my upper eyelid in days (faster and cheaper than cosmetic surgery).

A fast, light exfoliation will improve the look of your skin in minutes, just don’t do it too often.

Using our Hydramist will give you an instant lift, but it will last only a couple of hours. A nice Cinderella effect, but, again, don’t use it too often. Its effect has to do with Calcium transport.

Another fast but temporary effect: ant protein or carbohydrate that dries as a film will tense your skin until you wash the film away. This is what I call “make up” effect. Nothing wrong with it (we use pullulan) but don’t confuse it with long term benefits.
