Can you “energize” hair?

No. Hair is dead protein, there are no live cells that can produce (or use) energy.

This does not mean that you can’t do something for your hair.

1) Wash. Why? Because we like to smell nice and look nice! Not washing your hair will not make it stay longer or grow faster, and it will look horrible. Try, however, to avoid fragrances and strong detergents, because they will irritate your scalp and affect the quality of the hair the scalp is making.

2) Condition. Yes, hair is made of protein (not live cells) but it will look and feel nicer if you neutralize all those electric charges with a cationic polymer, and maybe add some silicones to make the hair look shinier.  These ingredients can also “mask” the damaged cuticle.

3) Hair formation. Here we can certainly help. Skin Actives has products that will improve hair, eye brows, eye lashes and nails. All of these are not alive, they are made of protein, but the cells that make them are very alive and they will produce better, thicker, nicer looking hair and nails, if they receive the nutrition and growth factors that they need.

Look at the ingredients in Skin Actives hair serum.

With all the vitamins, amino acids, minerals and  essential fatty acids, the cells making hair will be able to respond to the “orders” given by keratinocyte growth factor.

And they do, as these photos of before and after show.

It is important that you try these actives before the cells making hair change into normal skin cells and are unable to make hair again. I don’t know how long these changes take but they do.
