Brow and Lash

We don’t think about the value of our eyebrows until something goes wrong with them. This may happen as early as the teens, when we discover tweezers and decide that they can improve upon Nature (they can’t). By the time we are in our 20s, we may realize our mistakes and start using whatever is around to try and get back the lovely eyebrows we used to have. Not long ago, the only options to choose from were brow pencil, permanent tattoos, glued-on fake eyebrows, etc. Not only do they look fake (because they are), but they also weaken the remaining eyebrows.

What about eyelashes? If you wear thick mascara it can also weaken your real eyelashes. This, plus glue and fake eyelashes, will make things even worse.

So, here you are in your late 20s with a face on which eyebrows and eyelashes, very important parts of how your face is perceived by other humans, are altered. What can you do?

You may be in luck because in the last few years it has become possible to produce the same growth factor that your body uses as a signal to produce eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair: keratinocyte growth factor (KGF). In addition to KGF, hair follicles will need a number of other building blocks in order to be able to follow those production instructions.

Here are the actives you will find in our serums dedicated to reinvigorating the cells that form eyelashes and eyebrows.

KGF is the crucial growth factor. This is the signal used by our bodies to tell the cells capable of making hair to start doing it.

Hair is made of protein, and proteins are made of amino acids. You need amino acids, the vitamins we can’t make and must obtain from plants, enzymes and proteins capable of protein synthesis, plus minerals used by those enzymes.

Amino Acids: Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Aspartic Acid, Cysteine, Glutamic Acid, Glutamine, Glycine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Tyrosine, Valine, Adenine, Thymidine.

Vitamins: Biotin, Choline Chloride, Cyanocobalamin, Folic Acid, Inositol, Niacinamide, Thioctic acid, Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine HCl, Riboflavin, Thiamine HCl.

In our serum, we also include botanical extracts known to promote hair formation, caffeine to increase blood flow to the follicles, and antioxidants to cope with the oxidants we make plus those coming from the environment. All of these supportive ingredients make up the extensive ingredient list you see for our hair serum and eye lash and brow serum.

Although we can’t promise that our hair promoting serums will work for everybody in every situation, many of our clients have benefited from them. SAS products work because they have the science to direct the formulation.

Always remember that fashions come and go. Don’t let your eyebrows change forever to follow a one season trend.
