Anti-fatigue cosmetics? Did you try sleeping?

Anti-fatigue cosmetics will not make up for lack of sleep. A concealer could help hide the deep shadows under your eyes but otherwise, what on earth are anti-fatigue cosmetics?

L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic Anti-Fatigue 24H Daily Moisturizer

Water, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Isohexadecane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Ammonium Polyacryldimethyltauramide / Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Mentha Piperita Extract / Peppermint Leaf Extract, Peg/Ppg-18/18 Dimethicone, Hdi/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Caffeine, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Magnesium Pca, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Isopropyl Myristate, Caprylyl Glycol, Menthol, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Ci 19140 / Yellow 5, Ci 42090 / Blue 1, Linalool, Limonene, Parfum / Fragrance.

Water is good (and cheap). Glycerol is great at moisturizing.

Denatured alcohol? Ouch. Ethanol is not great for your skin (it will dry it) and we don’t even know what they use to denature the alcohol. Denaturation consist in adding a something that will make the alcohol undrinkable and/or toxic so that you don’t pay the tax payable for drinkable alcohol. I don’t use denatured alcohol.

The rest is solvents, colorants, fragrances, and even a trick ingredient, menthol, to make your skin “think” that you are doing something to it.

Don’t try to trick your skin by giving it a fake anti-fatigue. Sleep well, have nice dreams and use Skin Actives products that will help your skin look and work healthy and pretty.

Ginzing™ Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream

Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, Jojoba Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Cetyl Alcohol, Niacinamide, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Polyaspartate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Lemon Peel Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Spearmint Leaf Oil, Orange Peel Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Ginseng Root Extract, Barley Extract, Salicylic Acid, Algae Extract, Linoleic Acid, Caffeine, Sucrose, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Trehalose, Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract, Sorbitol, Phospholipids, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Coffee Seed Oil, Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Shea Butter, Sunflower Seedcake, Squalane, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Behenyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol.

Here there is no alcohol (good!) and there be more moisturizing power, with glycerol and hydroxyethyl urea. But the essential oils and fragrances (Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil*, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil*, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, coffee seed oil, Limonene, Linalool, Citral) are likely to irritate sensitive skin. I don’t like the sucrose either, we don’t need extra sugars glycosylation our skin proteins.

I like caffeine, niacinamide, and salicylic acid, but you will not find much “energy” in this product.

Try, instead, Skin Actives Revitalizing Nutrient cream. Chock-full of vitamins, nutrients, and cofactors that will help your skin mitochondria to better produce and use energy, antioxidants to trap and disarm pesky ROS*, protecting skin and stem cells,
